GH¢1000In today’s digital landscape, the financial sector faces unprecedented challenges in safeguarding sensitive customer data from evolving cyber threats.
In addressing this challenge, Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana (CIB Ghana) has put together this interactive training programme to equip bank staff with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure secure banking experiences for customers and compliance with data protection standards and best practices.
This is important for both regulatory compliance and customer experience.
This comprehensive training programme empowers bank staff to play a vital role in protecting sensitive customer data by fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and implementing robust data protection practices as well as build strong customer trust and confidence in data privacy.
Training Objectives:
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
✅ Identify the common types of cyber threats and vulnerabilities faced by banks and the financial sector.
✅ Understand the importance of data privacy and customer trust in the digital age.
✅ Explain key data protection/cybersecurity regulations and compliance requirements.
✅ Securely handle customer data according to bank policies and procedures.
✅ Recognize and report suspicious activity or potential data breaches in a timely manner.
✅ Appreciate the regulatory and compliance requirement within Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843)
