DESCRIPTION:In today’s digital landscape\, the financial sector faces unprecedented challenges in safeguarding sensitive customer data from evolving cyber threats. \nIn addressing this challenge\, Chartered Institute of Bankers\, Ghana (CIB Ghana) has put together this interactive training programme to equip bank staff with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure secure banking experiences for customers and compliance with data protection standards and best practices. \nThis is important for both regulatory compliance and customer experience.\nThis comprehensive training programme empowers bank staff to play a vital role in protecting sensitive customer data by fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and implementing robust data protection practices as well as build strong customer trust and confidence in data privacy. \nTraining Objectives:\nBy the end of this training\, participants will be able to:\n✅ Identify the common types of cyber threats and vulnerabilities faced by banks and the financial sector.\n✅ Understand the importance of data privacy and customer trust in the digital age.\n✅ Explain key data protection/cybersecurity regulations and compliance requirements.\n✅ Securely handle customer data according to bank policies and procedures.\n✅ Recognize and report suspicious activity or potential data breaches in a timely manner.\n✅ Appreciate the regulatory and compliance requirement within Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843) \nTraining Outcomes:\n◾ Enhanced awareness of cyber risks and the value of data privacy.\n◾ Stronger security protocols and data handling practices within the bank.\n◾ Increased vigilance and ability to identify and report suspicious activity.\n◾ Improved customer trust and confidence in the bank’s security practices. \nTarget Group:\nThis training is designed for all bank employees\, regardless of their role or current level of cybersecurity awareness.
